Guiding people to fully live as followers of Jesus
Care Ministries

Care Ministries

Peace is blessed to have two groups of volunteers who focus on meeting people's physical and spiritual needs:

Helping Hands
Helping Hands is a group of volunteers from Peace Church who are willing to help other members and attenders in times of need. We have provided meals, respite care, helped with light housework or maintenance, and can tend to other needs as they arise. If you would like to be part of this group please fill out a blue information sheet at the sign-up table in the Gathering Place. If you have any questions or know of someone who can use the services of Helping Hands, send an email to or call Shelly Peterson, 715-456-2923.

Parish Nurse
The Parish Nurse Program at Peace Church consists of a group of volunteers who work together to promote good health and health education. We check blood pressures on the first Sunday of every month and sponsored a Marshfield Clinic health talk on sleep disorders this spring. Last fall we provided apples as a healthy treat for worshipers, and earlier this year we promoted exercise through our 12-week Walk to Jerusalem program. (Although we actually managed to exercise our way around the world in those 12 weeks.) We also visit members at home, in hospitals or in nursing homes and share the healing power of prayer.
