Crisis Assistance Team
Mission Statement: To provide basic needs, spiritual support and direction to community resources for those in our Peace family experiencing a temporary financial crisis.
This program serves members and regular attenders of Peace Church. It is designed to help when significant events occur, creating a temporary financial emergency or crisis that cannot be managed without immediate outside intervention.
The Crisis Assistance Team operates with an annual budget funded by personal donations. Although our funds may restrict how much assistance we are able to provide, we also provide applicants with contact information to community resources for which they may qualify.
We firmly believe that the first step in resolving a personal crisis (financial or otherwise) is to establish a relationship with Jesus Christ. This relationship is fostered and strengthened through prayer, worship attendance, Bible study and Christian fellowship. If an applicant is in need of spiritual support, we will also connect them with someone on the pastoral staff.
The team is made up of volunteers from Peace who bring their God-given gifts, professional expertise, knowledge and personal life experiences, which collectively guide the team in giving direction to applicants for long-term solutions, as well as short-term assistance.

Peace Church has partnered with The Beacon House for 20 years to serve homeless families in the Chippewa Valley.
Throughout the year, volunteers are asked to help serve dinners at the emergency shelter in downtown Eau Claire, spend times with the families there, and serve as an overnight host.
