Special Meeting | September 23, 2024

Attendance: 40 voting members were in attendance to include staff and the board of deacons.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   

Mark Oldenberg called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm.

Pastor Mark Schulz led us in an opening prayer.

Call committee presentation & discussion (Allie)

The call committee is appointed by the Board of Deacons. A list of candidates was compiled and periodically amended.  Input was provided by District officials, members of the congregation and other sources. In this last round nine candidates were evaluated. We had two people come for an onsite interview.  A recommendation was made to the Board of Deacons who seek input from the Personnel committee.  We then called for a special congregational meeting to approve the call.

Nomination of candidate for Dir. of Children and Family Ministry

No other nominations were brought forward.

Motion to call a Dir. of Children and Family Ministry

Paul Weinke made a unanimous motion to extend the call to Caleb Haack, DCE, as our Children and Family ministry director and to amend the budget for salary, benefits, and moving expenses. Cam Kalmon seconded the motion. Motion carried

The Closing Prayer was given by Pastor David Forke.

Aaron Libner made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Erika Zank seconded the motion. Motion carried.  The congregational meeting adjourned at 6:44 pm.
