Your Faith Journey with Jesus
A common way of picturing life is that of a journey: that of “traveling” from birth through childhood into the various seasons of adulthood. We often use journey language to describe our lives: “Look at how far we’ve come” or “We’re at a crossroads” or “We’ve got a long way to go.”
The Bible also uses journey language to describe a life of faith in God: “walk/run,” “path,” and “follow,” with an “exodus” out of slavery to sin and a destination of a heavenly “Promised Land.” We are invited to journey with Jesus out of spiritual bondage to freedom. It is a journey from inherited and learned sin habits toward greater likeness to Christ. It is a journey from apathy to love, confusion to purpose, sorrow to joy, and despair to hope.
While each of us has our own unique spiritual journey, it is best done in relationship with fellow travelers. Peace invites you to walk with our faith community as we seek to Discover (engage with Jesus and his Word), Grow (engage with other Christians and the Peace community), and Go (engage in Jesus’ mission as we fulfill our individual callings within family, work, and social life).
