Week of April 13, 2025
The story of Palm Sunday exhibits the amazing ambition of Jesus to honor his Father in heaven by serving the people He loves. He knew what He was doing was taking first steps towards his sacrificial death on the cross, and He knew that this amazing service would bring salvation and life to us and glory to God. It was his purpose for coming into the world. All of us are called to serve with purpose and meaning, like Jesus. Like Jesus our ultimate ambition in serving is to glorify God. We serve not to make our name great but to make His name great. By the powers of God's grace and the working of the Holy Spirit, our serving can point others to the greatest servant of all, King Jesus.Sunday | Luke 19:28-44

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, your commitment to our salvation is awe-inspiring. Your ambition to do whatever it took to save us from our sin, restore our relationship with God, and bring honor and glory to the heavenly Father amazes us. You gave up everything and walked the road to the cross. You endured the suffering, the abuse, and the shame, always with the end result in mind. Thank you for not growing weary and giving up. Thank you for completing the work to give us new and eternal life in your kingdom. Lord, teach us to follow your example. Help us to seek first the kingdom of God. Teach us to serve others in a way that points them to you and your salvation. May we not seek our own glory, as we serve, but bring honor and glory to you, our Heavenly Father, and the Holy Spirit—ever one good and glorious God. Amen.
