REDEMPTION

God is our great redeemer! He takes broken things and makes them whole! He brings beauty from ashes! Wherever we find ourselves in our lives, we can choose to believe the truth that God is our redeemer. There is no place to run from His Spirit, no depth to deep for Him to rescue us from.  This week we'll be focusing on the redeeming power of the Lord and how to reflect on that power in our own lives.

Revelation 12:10-12

These verses mention that believers triumph by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. What does this mean? How have you seen God's redemption and triumph in your life through the blood of the Lamb? What is the testimony that God has given you?

Isaiah 43:1-7

God says that He has redeemed you and called you by name. What emotions do you experience when reading these words of truth? Take some time to re-read the verses slowly. What has God done for you? How can we respond in gratitude?

James 1:2-8

What does this passage tell us to do when we experience trials? Is there a trial happening in your life right now? How is God calling you to respond to the trial, and what next steps is He calling you to take? Spend some time asking for wisdom, just like these verses encourage us to do. How might God's redemption be seen even in your trials?

Isaiah 43:16-19

These verses begin with establishing how powerful God is, followed by a command of His: to not dwell on the past, because the Lord is doing a new thing! What things of the past is the Lord asking you to let go of? Take a moment to surrender that time, trial, or thing to the Lord. What is the new thing that God is doing in your life? Take a moment to thank Him for the new things that He is doing!

Exodus 15:1-18

These verses are a beautiful song sung by the Israelites when God redeemed them and set them free from the Egyptians. What characteristics of God do we see in these verses? Reread verse 13 out loud. This verse reminds us that after God redeems us, He doesn't just leave us to figure everything out on our own. He wants to lead us! How is God leading you today?
