Red Letter Serving Challenge

In the season of Lent, we focus on how Jesus has loved us by serving us. He served those twelve disciples by washing their feet and lowering himself to become obedient to death on the cross.  He sacrificed His own life so that others could have forgiveness and eternal life.  Although this eternal life will one day be seen in all its glory, Jesus now invites us to step into life with Him.  He offers us the opportunity of a lifetime to embrace His Way, a path of joyful servanthood.  During the Red Letter Serving series, we will provide daily Scripture readings but ask you to go deeper in reflection and application by picking up a Serving Challenge devotional book.  You won’t be disappointed!

Prayer for the Week:

Lord Jesus, you are the Word made flesh, making your dwelling among us.  We thank you for your love which brought you on a saving mission to sinful humanity.  In your ministry, you were never too busy that you missed the broken people around you.  Give us the assurance that you will always be there for us.  And give us the wisdom to carry on our lives at a pace that gives us time and energy to be available for others.  In your name, we pray.  Amen.
