Spiritual Gifts in the Bible
Remember to take the Spiritual Gifts Inventory online here or pick up a paper version at Peace.
Monday | 1 Corinthians 12:12-31
As the body of Christ, we each have different gifts that play different roles. How would your gifts complement someone else's gifts? Can you think of a situation where someone else's gifts would work alongside yours to further the Kingdom?
Tuesday | 1 Corinthians 13:1-13
Gifts are only meaningful when there is heart behind them. We see this in day-to-day life, but also through our spiritual gifts. How does love impact the gifts you have? Have you experienced someone with a great spiritual gift but a lack of love behind it? What is the outcome?
Wednesday | Galatians 6:1-10
Our spiritual gifts are not for our own sake, but for the sake of the whole body of Christ and beyond. How can your gifts impact how you love and care for others? What good works can come from your gifts? How have you been impacted by someone else's gifts in their care for you?
Thursday | Romans 15:1-7
One of our unique roles as Christians is to build up the body of Christ in word and action. How can you spur on other Christians to discover and use their gifts to further the Kingdom? What is one way you can encourage and build up another Christian this week?
Friday | 1 Thessalonians 5:1-23
This section of 1 Thessalonians gives us a handbook on how to live as Christians in the world. Are there parts of this chapter that are challenging to you? Are there areas of your life where you are not "living at peace with each other"? If so, what can you do to better align yourself with the Word of God?
