Luke 10:38-42
Who do you relate to in this story? Why? How do you balance the call to go and do in Jesus’ name with the call to spend time with Jesus in worship and learning from Him and His word? How is God speaking to you about your relationship with Jesus?
Colossians 3:12-17
How might letting “word of Christ dwell in you richly” be a key to living according to God’s will? How does that happen? In what ways are you connecting with his word and seeking to spend time receiving his peace, joy, and power for life?
Psalm 73:23-28
What does it mean for God to be your portion? In what ways does your life show that God is your portion and strength of your heart? How will you make a point to draw near to Him on a regular basis?
James 3:13-18
When have you let jealousy or a need for “fairness” cause you to act out and cause discord? How does our need for recognition and reward get in the way of a good relationship with Jesus and with others? How might regular time spent connecting with Jesus in worship, bible reading, and prayer counteract such problems?
Ephesians 1:16-21 & 3:14-19
The Apostle Paul teaches that there is so much to learn and understand about Jesus--his love, his power, his wisdom . . . that we could be filled up with the fulness of God! How has your growing understanding of Jesus and what He gives you filled up your heart, soul, and mind? How has it changed your attitudes and ways of thinking? Your ability to live and love His way? In what ways do you see that you still need to grow in knowing and understanding the grace and truth of Jesus?
