Monday, July 3, 2023 | Luke 12:35-49

In verse 35, we are told to be “dressed for action” – what are we waiting for? Does this passage apply to a certain set of people or to everyone? Does this passage inspire fear or confidence in the coming of Christ? How can we be faithful and wise in the waiting for Christ to come again?

Tuesday, July 4, 2023 | Matthew 24:36-51

When we see people saying they know when Jesus will return, what can our response be? Since we do not know the day or the hour Christ will return, what action are we called to now? How is this passage different from the parallel passage in Luke 12 from yesterday’s reading?

Wednesday, July 5, 2023 | 1 Peter 3:15

Write down your response to this question: What is the reason for the hope that you have? How can we share the message of hope in Christ with others in different areas in our lives? Are you confident in the answer you can provide?

Thursday, July 6, 2023 | 2 Timothy 4:1-5

Do you think we are in a time when people turn away from listening to truth? How have you seen people “wander off into myths” (verse 4)? How can you stay grounded in truth? What is your ministry?

Friday, July 7, 2023 | 1Peter 2:9, ESV, Micah 6:8

1 Peter 2:9 tells us who we are as God’s people. Do you identify with the words Peter speaks over the people of God, including you? Micah 6:8 tells us what to do with this identity. How can you live out Micah 6:8 in your life? How do these two verses connect?
