Why you Should Know Your Spiritual Gifts
Monday | Romans 12:1-3 and I Corinthians 12:21-26
What does Paul mean when he talks about transformation of the mind in Romans 12? What does this transformation look like? How would you encourage someone to not be conformed to this world? Looking at 1 Corinthians 12, what encouragement do you get from the different roles of the body of Christ?
Tuesday | Ephesians 4:1-11
What is your “calling”? How would you “walk in a manner worthy of the calling” that you have? What does unity in the body of Christ look like in our world? Do you think the body of Christ is united? What would need to change for this to happen?
Wednesday | Ephesians 4:11-24
Make a list of all the gifts God gives to us in this section. Throughout these verses, there are several things that we are gifted by God, especially when we put our trust in Him. Is it easy to recognize the gifts we receive from God? Why or why not? What difference would it make for us to know about the gifting that God has individually given each one of us?
Thursday | Ephesians 2:1-10
“For it is by grace you have been saved through faith!” So often, we end the passage here. However, God has a calling to us, His saved people. Look at verse 10. We have good works to accomplish that God has prepared for us to do. Can you look back at your life and see the good works that God has empowered you to do? What have these good things done for others? How can we be on the lookout for ways to use our faith to bless the world through works?
Friday | John 16:4-15
Are we the ones in control of our gifts? Not at all! The Holy Spirit is the best gift – as the Spirit empowers us to share Jesus with the world. This is both a huge responsibility and a huge relief. God does not leave us alone to figure out how to live in this world, but He sent the Holy Spirit to be with us, to encourage us, and to spur us on in good works. How can we listen to the Holy Spirit in our daily lives?
